A unique non-profit 501(c)3 We are Northeast Ohio's leading pet recovery service that focuses on the lost and forgotten.
We are grateful for the ongoing support and contributions from community members. Without you, our mission would not be possible.
Remi’s Pet Recovery is a registered non-profit 501(c)3 based out of Northeast OH- Our mission: To Reunite lost dogs back with their owners! Vanessa's compassion & fierce dedication has helped countless dogs go from lost to recovered! We are the primary resource for families who have lost a dear pet & for the timid/skittish dogs who are lost, we are most likely their only hope!
Remi's Pet Recovery was founded in 2016 and formed its corporate status as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the state of Ohio in July 2017.
Contact your local Shelter/Police Dept to report your dog is lost!
Get Flier's up ASAP! Create a flyer with dog's photo and phone# only w/ LOST in bright color! No name on flyer!
Do not go yelling your dog's name while searching. Calling out a dog's name is only a trigger and can cause he/she to run further from the area.
Remi's works closely with very skittish, scared dogs and specializes in their recovery but this is a process. Newly adopted dogs typically will stay close to where they go missing from; your goal is to keep that area quiet and free from well-intended strangers going into 'said area' calling out and looking for said dog.
Remi's DOES NOT Recommend posting your dogs every move on socal media. We know your desperate, but desperation does not always bring your dog home safely but it can create chaos, confusion and a shit-show for said dog and may cause the lost dog to continue to run from all who try to follow/apprehend him/her.
We RECOMMEND keeping a journal and mapping all sighting on google maps! Do NOT share sightings on social media. Your goal is to find the area your dog is frequenting in order to get food stations/cameras set up with the ultimate goal of trapping. The process works folks- that dog who is lost is looking for quiet area to settle in.
WE HOPE THESE TIPS HELP UNTIL WE CAN COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY WITH YOU. Remi's will only speak with the owners' of lost dogs.
2014 -the scrappy-looking dog sat on the exit ramp of the I-480 expressway dodging traffic & flirting with dangerous terrain. We used a small crate inverted to create a box-trap with the cage door resting on a piece of wood; we then tied string to the wood & ran it to our car where we patiently sat waiting .....
Grateful
